200 Jobs In Feltham Saved

ALMOST 200 jobs have been saved after one of the last glass bottling dairies in England won its battle to stay open, writes George Lindsay-Watson.

Milk giant Dairy Crest's Hanworth dairy in Feltham missed shutting after tense negotiations thanks to its Southern location.

A FAMILY were awoken and saved by their smoke alarm after a fire tore through their flat while they were sleeping.

The family of three escaped the flames in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Reverend Peter Wragg has been vicar of St Dunstan's Church for more than 17 years, but first came to the parish as curate in 1974.

Staff Sergeant Tony Treadaway, who currently serves at 197 Feltham Detachment (Royal Regiment of Fusiliers), was presented with the Jack Petchey Outstanding Youth Leader Award on Monday (January 30).
