Bat detectors donated to Bedfont Country Park
BAT detectors have been donated to Bedfont Lakes Country Park thanks to fund raising by its friends group.
Two detectors were handed to education Ranger Carolyn Herbert from the Friends of Bedfont Lakes Country Park chair, Christine Waters.
They will be used in a forthcoming Candlelit Picnic in the Park on Saturday June 4, which will run from 8pm-10pm.
The charge is £1.50 for children and concessions and £3 for adults.
Residents are being invited to come along with a thermos, a blanket, and some snacks while they search for bugs and bats by torchlight.
There will be activities taking place throughout the evening for the whole family.
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
