Thief tries to sell mobile phone back to victim
A brazen thief robbed a cyclist of his phone and then tried to sell it back to him for £10.
Mohammed Hazara, of Sparrow Farm Drive, Feltham, admitted taking a phone and cigarettes from William Smith at Guildford Crown Court last Monday.
The court heard that Hazara, 19, forced Mr Smith to empty his pockets as he was cycling in Guildford, Surrey on October 10 before saying: "I'll sell the phone back to you for a tenner."
Hazara, who has previous convictions for disorderly behaviour and assault on a police officer, was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on January 8.
