Junkie banned from knocking on doors

Posted by Ed Saunt on Nov 17, 09 05:19 PM in

HOU1011 bing.JPGA junkie who conned cash out of pensioners has been banned from knocking on doors.

Darren Bingham, of Beech Road, Feltham, came to victims' doorsteps in Hanworth, Brentford and Isleworth asking for money to help sick relatives.

He was, however, only looking for money to feed his drug habit and admitted five counts of fraud at Feltham Magistrates Court last week(Nov 2).

Along with an 18 month supervision order, the 29-year-old was issued with a two year ASBO which bans him from knocking on any door or entering any property in the UK without the permission of the owner. He is also banned from begging anywhere in the country.

As part of his supervision order, Bingham will have to attend 12 months of drug rehabilitation and was ordered to pay £14 compensation and £70 costs.

We'd like to hear from you.

So this Junkie knocks on doors, frightens old ladies into to giving him money so he'll leave them in peace, has five counts of Fraud against him (that we know about) and his penalty from the long arm of Justice... "Please don't knock on doors again".

Therefore, if I get caught robbing Banks is my sentence likely to be "Please don't Rob any more Banks"

Where's our Justice - where's the public's justified retribution? ...It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic
