Punters visiting the Crown and Sceptre in Feltham will be served a different tonic from now on - the ailing pub is to become a doctor's surgery.
Police had the Staines Road boozer's license revoked earlier this month following a catalogue of violent incidents and now the owners have sold the lease to a group of GPs who plan to set up practice there.
The venue has been the scene of fights, assaults on children and a rape allegation in the last few months and a man lost his eye in an attack in March in which a police officer was also assaulted.
A woman in her 20s was hospitalised after smashing her car into a lampost in Chertsey Road, Feltham.
The woman, who was travelling alone in her car, was knocked unconscious by the accident at 1.30am last Friday(18) and was taken to West Middlesex hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed until 6.30am as police and firefighters cleared the scene.
Sam and Alice Fox share a rare sibling bond - they both suffer from epilepsy.
But, while 23-year-old Alice can lead a normal life with the aid of medication, older brother Sam has daily seizures and has to live in a residential care home.
The gulf between their conditions and the different lives they lead sheds light on the wide spectrum of symptoms brought on by this much-misunderstood condition.
There was no Simon Cowell but judges were wowed by entries to an X-Factor-style competition for disabled people.
Thirty-five adults with disabilities or special needs entered the show at Harle House in Feltham last week - which was organised by the Hounslow West Mencap charity.
The competition has become an annual fixture at the centre in Cardinal Road as regulars and visitors alike come alive for the singing contest.
A public meeting about crime and disorder and the control drinking zone will take place at Feltham library on Thursday September 24 from 6pm-8pm.
This meeting will be the place where the Feltham community will have the opportunity to share information and develop a common understanding around serious issues of community safety and crime and disorder in the borough.
Anyone who lives and works in Feltham is encouraged to come along and use the meeting as a forum to question Feltham Sector Inspector Peter Rusby and community safety officers about any issues concerning them.
A fun day at Frank Towell court in Feltham brought smiles to the faces of residents who had never met before.
Tenants brought some good old-fashioned community spirit to the Glebelands Road estate last week, enjoying a bouncy castle, teacups, a raffle, tombola and face painting.
About 50 people who live in the flats attended the first event of its kind and were treated to cuisines from all over the world by their neighbours.
A Feltham music teacher is hoping for stardom as she enters the regional finals of a national singing competition.
Jazz vocalist Pam Pecko has shunned the brighter lights of contest like X Factor and Britain's Got Talent to take part in Open Mic UK - a new competition for singers of all ages and genres.
Unlike the popular ITV shows, Open Mic encompasses a greater breadth of styles, allowing Pam to power through to the next stage in November with her traditional American jazz.
An information day for disabled adults will take place at Hounslow Council civic centre on Friday September 11 between 11am and 3pm.
The council and representatives from the voluntary sector will be on hand to give advice about service that are available and to find out what services the people of Hounslow would like introduced.

Councillors have rounded on their own authority's plans to bulldoze the Feltham People's Centre and replace it with a car park for council workers.
Cllr Peter Hills branded the plan 'ridiculous' and a 'non-runner', Cllr John Howliston said he was 'not impressed' with it, while even the council's deputy leader Cllr Mark Bowen admitted he shared residents' 'lack of excitement' about the proposal.
The council has applied to its own planning department for permission to knock down the historic 1930s building - which is in a conservation area - and replace it with a staff car park.
Teenagers from Feltham learned to box clever at a summer training camp organised by the police.
The non-contact boxing sessions were set up in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour by giving youngsters something to do during the school holidays.
The 28 participants were taught fitness and self-defence techniques, given dietary advice and educated about bullying and anti-social behaviour at the classes at Feltham Community College.
