BAA has refused to back down over plans to build a train depot on a Feltham conservation area - despite opposition from 300 residents.
The airports operator is planning to use the former marshalling yard - which is now a designated nature reserve - as a depot to store, maintain and clean the fleet of trains for its proposed Airtrack link between Waterloo and Heathrow.
Models strutted their stuff and shoppers were treated to free makeovers at a fashion day in Feltham last Friday.
About 500 shoppers braved the inclement weather to check out the summer lines from stores in The Centre on the Fashion@Feltham catwalk.

Hounslow Council is planning to extend and refurbish the Alf King Centre in Bridge Road, Feltham.
The council has submitted an application to its own planning department to revamp the building - which is currently being used as an under five's play centre - and run it as a children's centre.
Residents in Burns Avenue, Feltham are begging for a 'dangerous' lime tree to be cut back before someone gets hurt.
Roy Wicks and his neighbours claim the huge tree is in danger of shedding its branches as a preservation method as the hot weather comes and have asked housing association Hounslow Homes to trim it.
But their requests have fallen on deaf ears and Mr Wicks fears it will take a serious injury before the housing association take any notice.

Longford Community School student Stuart Langdon addressed a meeting of the Feltham Rotary Club following his successful trip aboard a "tall ship".
Stuart, who was this year's recipient of Rotary's award, sailed with the Jubilee Sailing Trust on the sailing ship Tenacious.
The JST is a registered charity that owns and operates Lord Nelson and Tenacious, the only two tall ships in the world designed and built to enable people of all physical abilities to sail side-by-side as equals.
Stuart spoke about the challenge and adventure of sailing the tall ship on the open sea and impressed Rotarians and their guests with his presentation.
Stuart, who after university wishes to choose the Army and Politics for his career, considers this to be one of the most exciting things that he has done in his life.

A care home worker from Feltham who scooped £2.2m on the lottery made an extravagant first purchase - a £20 shredding machine from Lidl.
Diane Hill, 43, is planning to splash the cash on a wedding to partner Bob Gould but pledged that her shopping trip to the discount German supermarket is a sign that she will remain frugal.
"I'd been after a shredder for a while but when I came home my son couldn't believe I'd won £2.2m and gone straight to Lidl to buy a shredder," Diane said. "But we'll stay the same, we'll still go down to Lidl every Thursday for our shopping."
