Ruth Ellis author involves Inner Wheel in afternoon conspiracy.

Monica Weller, ghost writer of "Ruth Ellis - my sister's secret life" by Muriel Jakubait, was the guest speaker at Feltham Inner Wheel's Inter-Club Tea.
Ruth Ellis was the last woman to be hanged in Britain fifty years ago convicted of shooting her lover David Blakely. The story has been perpetuated of a peroxide tart who killed in a fit of passion and the case has become a notorious part of British criminal history.
In her entertaining talk, Monica Weller says crucial questions were left unasked at the trial and that the story was more about an establishment cover up. New facts show conclusively that Ruth Ellis was an associate of Stephen Ward before his name was ever linked to the Profumo affair, a scandal that brought down the Conservative government of the day. Miss Weller suggests that someone else pulled the trigger on that fateful night and that Ruth Ellis was caught up in something much bigger and ended up paying with her life.
Miss Weller's appearance was arranged by the Inner Wheel Club to support fund raising on behalf of their President's Project.
President Beryl Meeson is pleased to announce that £450 has been raised for "Sailability" - a charity to aid the disabled to go sailing.
