Feltham Centre bucks trend with sales

Retailers in The Centre, Feltham, are so far defying the gloomy predictions of falling sales, reporting an impressive 13 per cent increase in footfall last year compared to 2007.

Over a quarter of a million visitors flood into the high street-based shopping centre each week and retailers insist they have continued to trade well throughout the first part of the January sales.

Bosses at Argos say they have decided to keep on the extra staff recruited for Christmas throughout January because they have been so busy.
