Longford kids perform for older folks

longford.jpgGenerous pupils at Longford School did their bit to narrow the generation gap on Monday with a fun festive party for older people in their community.

The charitable children and teenagers put on entertainment in the form of a singalong and served tea to over 120 pensioners at the annual community party.

Governor Eddie Menday, who organised the event, said: "It's good for the kids to do something for older people in their area. It's always a fun afternoon and we get a lot of requests for tickets and lots of nice thank you letters afterwards."

The event has been running for around eight years and places are offered to old people's clubs in Feltham. This year guests were greeted by head boy Adam Knight and many of the songs came from the school's production of Jack and the bean stalk.

We'd like to hear from you.
