Lucky day for little Patrycja
Little Patrycja is one lucky lady as she was born healthy and happy last week despite her umbilical cord wrapping itself three times around her neck.
The dangerous situation was only revealed on August 12 as doctors at West Mid delivered her through Caesarian section.
"It was quite dangerous," said her dad Konrad Zawadadzki, who works as a painter and decorator. "We didn't know anything about it at the time because the cord is invisible during scans but she could have died."
Konrad, 34, of Nene Gardens, Feltham, and his partner 38-year-old Magdalena Poltorak are now back home with their new daughter and getting plenty of family support from Magdalena's sister, Iwona.
Patrycja, who is apparently very calm and feeding well, was born at 10.45am, weighing 6lbs 8oz.
