Fete kids raise funds for Macmillan

FCC-Fete_2_mg.jpgThese kids from Feltham Community College may look like they are misbehaving but they are really raising much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The charity will be getting a cheque for £317 thanks to the Year Eight pupils, aged 12-13, who organised a special fundraising fete.

The annual event, which is arranged entirely by Year Eight pupils for the year below them to enjoy, featured lots of fun activities, including hair braiding, face painting, Beat the Goalie and ever-popular favourite Dunk the Teacher.

"The kids did a wonderful job," said citizenship coordinator Gabby Rowberry. "When we started four years ago the kids voted to support a cancer charity and we've been raising money like this every year since then.

"It's nice that the kids are visitors in Year Seven and then become the organisers the following year."

We'd like to hear from you.
