newborn_hassen_main.jpgIt was third time lucky for a young mum whose birth was so quick her baby girl was almost born in a taxi.

Stacie Hassen, of St Catherine's Court, Feltham, gave birth to 6lb 10oz Caitlin at West Middlesex Hospital on July 16.

An 18-year-old was arrested by officers from Feltham Police Station after he breached his ASBO conditions twice within three hours.

He was charged and kept in custody to appear at Feltham Magistrate Court on 26/7/2008. He was sentenced to eight weeks imprisonment for the breach of ASBO Conditions.

Inspector Manpreet Bains of Hounslow Police Station said: "Officers will target people who engage in anti-social behaviour and do their utmost to bring these offenders before the courts. This case sends a strong message that people who breach their ASBO will be punished"

Fame-Academy-Logo.jpgHave you dreamed of having your name in lights? Thought about seeing your face splashed across the newsstand? Wished that you could perform in front of a huge, screaming crowd?

This year The Centre, Feltham, could bring you a step closer to realising your dreams as it presents the Chronicle-backed Fame Academy 2008.

Under the scheme, young people aged between 12 and 18 will learn new skills at fantastic performing arts workshops.

Hounslow Extra Club (HEC) is delighted to announce an extended range of activities for young people with disabilities in the 11 to 21 age range.

The scheme offers quality activities supervised by qualified and experienced staff: arts and crafts most mornings and access to the local community in the afternoons, parks, bowling and cinema. The group leaders excel at matching the activity with the young people attending's needs, likes and dislikes.

heathrow-jet.jpgPlans to redraw the airspace above Hounslow have been given an overwhelming thumbs-down by concerned residents.

More than 80 per cent of people who responded to a public consultation on where planes should fly have objected to the proposals outright.

FCC-Fete_2_mg.jpgThese kids from Feltham Community College may look like they are misbehaving but they are really raising much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The charity will be getting a cheque for £317 thanks to the Year Eight pupils, aged 12-13, who organised a special fundraising fete.

The annual event, which is arranged entirely by Year Eight pupils for the year below them to enjoy, featured lots of fun activities, including hair braiding, face painting, Beat the Goalie and ever-popular favourite Dunk the Teacher.

Honk_1_mg-main.jpgThere were no ugly duckings in the Paul Robeson Theatre last week just dozens of beautiful swans, as kids from the Victoria School performed the musical 'Honk'.

The play, adapted from the children's story 'The Ugly Duckling', was a last team effort from 10 and 11-year-olds at the Feltham school who will all be moving into Secondary education this September.

KIND-hearted Feltham residents are invited along to a blood donor session taking place in the town on Monday.

Vital blood donations will be collected at two sessions, 12.45-3.30pm and 5-7.30pm, at Feltham Assembley Hall on July 21.

Everyone welcome.

bug-man.jpgThese brave youngsters overcame their fear of creepy-crawlies to get up close with some multi-legged new friends.

The giant bugs were visiting Longford School, in Feltham, with performance entomologist Lee Gibbs as part of a special Science Week.

"The kids always love Science Week," said head of science Gordon Esler. "It's a celebration of everything they've achieved through the year and a chance to look at things we don't have time to study in the classroom."

cylinders.jpgMore than 300 potentially lethal gas cylinders that can explode into huge fireballs if accidentally heated up have been lying around in people's sheds and garages.

The scale of the danger was revealed thanks to a four-week amnesty during June that saw hundreds of residents handing in their unwanted cylinders at SpaceWaye in Feltham, Hounslow Council's recycling centre.
