Post your crime here

metbox.jpgA special post box for schoolchildren to tell police about drugs and bullying has been set up at Feltham Community College.

Police hope the Met Box, which is regularly emptied by officers, will make it easier for them to tackle low level crime in the area.

Javed Akhtar, a police community support officer at Hanworth Park Safer Neighbourhood Team, said it follows a successful pilot project in Harrow and could soon be rolled out at other locations across Feltham.

"The idea is that if people have problems or something they are scared of they can let us know by filling out a form and putting it in the box, anonymously if they wish," he said.

"It will be picked up on a regaular basis, and we'll build up a picture of problems in the area."

He insisted there were no particular problems at Feltham Community College and said Asda in Feltham had been earmarked as another possible location.
