Elouise fundraiser day

Posted by Nina Rossi on May 29, 08 10:06 AM in Charity/voluntary

Eloise-Funday-01-FL.jpgThe pouring rain on Monday threatened to ruin a special fundraiser held in memory of Elouise Littlewood.

But luckily quick-thinking organisers managed to squeeze the entire event inside the Southville Centre, in Bedfont, and even found space for a ball pit and bouncy castle.

The fun-filled day raised an impressive £1228.26 for Shooting Star. The children's hospice, had been the favourite charity of Elouise, from Bedfont.

The 26-year-old died suddenly of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning on February 28.

Jasmin Solomon, one of her neighbours at the Bedfont Lakes development, said: "I'm sure it was a day that Elouise would have been proud of and we'd like to thank everyone that came and helped out."

It was with great delight that The Little House in Bedfont and Bedfont Community Association where able to help this cause by providing the Elouise Fundraising Group with a P.A system for the day for free which helped the group to raise more money for the fund.
As a community group ourselves we aim to provide P.A sytems to other community groups and event recording equipment we charge a bare minimum to cover our costs but as in this case, we will when a group can not afford or is rasing money we will try to give our time and systems for free..please contact us via the web-site if your group is doing an event and lets see if we can help your event make a big impact.
