Bank staff try 'urban' farming
City workers got a taste of the country after volunteering to help out down at Hounslow Urban Farm last week.
Painting and digging was the order of the day for 11 staff from Anglo-Irish Bank.
"We're members of Business in the Community, which promotes volunteering and corporate responsibility," said Audrey Bury, of city-based Anglo-Irish.
"We chose the farm because we thought it was a great cause and there was plenty for us to do."
The busy helpers spent the entire day with staff down at the Faggs Road site on Friday and it was looking smarter then ever.
"Everyone really enjoyed getting their hands dirty," added Ms Bury. "The Urban Farm is just a great community project."
